UAE-based telecom provider Etisalat has announced that it now has over 500,000 residential broadband subscribers in the country, with Internet penetration at about 60%. The company's Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Nasser bin Obood, said the UAE's broadband connectivity is higher than Europe, where the average is 53%."
